Caring for our Community

Join your DG sisters for our third annual "Do Good" event at the local community non-profit: the Oregon Food Bank.

We'll be packing bulk food, sorting canned food, labeling packages and completing mailing projects; activities will be available for all physical ability.

Caring for our History (and Sweet Tooth) 

We combine rituals at our annual formal event with whimsy at our first cookie swap.

  • Hear a special presentation on the Delta Gamma Fraternity Archives from Staige Davis Hodges, who is a member of the Fraternity Archives Committee. Learn where we stand on preserving our past and what the status of our archives is today, including images of numerous artifacts that have not been viewed by the general membership. Additionally, we will review how Delta Gamma style has changed during various eras.

    We will also be sharing memorabilia from the 1890s through the 20th century. There will be time for questions and for examining rare and unique items.
     
    If you have something unique that is from Delta Gamma, please bring it!

  • Bring 4 ¼ dozen cookies (that is 51 cookies) packaged in threes – which equals 17 bags (note that 4 ¼ dozen cookies is different than previously communicated) You'll take home two dozen new cookies that you can freeze and use for those unexpected holiday guests or enjoy them your self!

Annual Holiday Ornament Exchange and Luncheon

The fun and traditional ornament “stealing” continues with our festive and always popular event. Ring in the holidays with Delta Gamma sisters and enjoy the hope that the season brings.

  • Bring a wrapped ornament ($15 limit, please)
  • Bring an item of food for the Oregon Food Bank
  • A yummy buffet-style lunch will be provided
