Spring 2011

Happy 2012!

I hope you had wonderful holiday season and are enjoying the New Year. Our of
ficers have many exciting events and volunteer opportunities planned for the spring, and we hope to see you soon. Our chapter will get the opportunity to meet two sisters who exemplify the spirit of Delta Gamma this spring. We will welcome Carol Ruud Strong, Beta Omegga-Washington State, from Prevent Blindness America to our February meeting to demonstrate the use of children’s vision screening kits and share ways for us to get involved. I am also excited to welcome Fraternity VP: Fraternity Programming Laurie Petrucce Roselle, Beta Iota-Purdue Purdue, to our Founders Day celebration in April.

In the spring we will elect several new members to our Executive Board and appoint new Anchor Crew positions. Serving as an offi cer is a great privilege. The commitment is moderate, but the rewards are great. We love DG, and we also have other commitments so we do our best to support one another, share the work and continue the tradition of a strong sisterhood. If you are interested in getting more involved, I encourage you to consider holding an office. Please feel free to contact me or any of our current officers if you have any questions.

Please encourage DG sisters who are new in town to attend one of our events, volunteer opportunities, Founders Day or our On the Town dinner group. These are fun ways to catch up with sisters and meet new friends, especially if you are new to town. Please visit out website often and be on the look out for our monthly e-blitz for more ways to stay connected with Delta Gamma and Portland Suburban alumnae chapter.
